    On Saturday, August 31, 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to host a Black Breastfeeding Week Community Celebration at the Solano Community Health Hub. Doula Doula, a collective of professional birth workers devoted to assisting expectant parents in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, organized a day filled with empowerment, learning, and community connection. The event was designed to bring together new and experienced mothers, healthcare professionals, and community members to celebrate and promote the importance of breastfeeding within the Black community.
